As summer begins to wind down, now is a great time to prepare your home for the changing seasons.

• Clean gutters and downspouts after summer storms.

• Check exterior caulking around windows and doors for any cracks.

• Inspect decks, porches, and railings for loose boards or fasteners.

• Service your HVAC system before cooler weather arrives by changing the air filter and scheduling a fall maintenance visit if needed.

• Walk around your home after a heavy rain and make sure water is draining away from the foundation.

  A little preventative maintenance today can help avoid costly repairs tomorrow.
