Frequently Asked Questions

How does the custom home building process work?

Our process typically begins with an initial consultation to understand your vision, budget, and lot (or help you find one). From there, we move into design, permitting, construction, and finally a final walkthrough before handing over the keys.

We guide you through every step.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

We stand behind our work with a 1 year workmanship warranty.  A member of the Weis team reaches out 11 months after you move in to touch base and address any issues that may have arisen during that first year.

How much does a custom home cost?

Every home is unique, so pricing varies based on square footage, materials, finishes, and site conditions. We provide detailed, transparent quotes during the design phase so there are no surprises.

What happens if I notice an issue after I move in?

For your convenience and in order for our services to operate efficiently, we suggest waiting for the 60-day period before submitting a warranty list. This allows your family sufficient time to become settled in the new home and notice any issues.

A member of the Weis team will contact you 60 days after your project completion to solicit a warranty list compiled while you have lived in the home.

How long does it take to build a custom home?

Most of our custom homes take between 8 to 10 months from ground break to completion, depending on the size and complexity of the home, permitting timelines, and weather conditions.

Do you work with construction loans or financing?

Yes. We're experienced in working alongside lenders who offer construction-to-permanent loans and can refer you to trusted financing partners if needed.
