Homearama is Greater Louisville's premier showcase of custom-built homes, hosted annually by the BIA since 1968. Thousands of visitors tour and vote each year — making these awards a true reflection of craftsmanship that resonates with real homebuyers.

From 18 people in 1946, the BIA of Greater Louisville has grown to over 2,000 member companies — and is the organization behind Homearama. BIA membership means being held to a higher standard, right here in the community where we build.

NAHB members build approximately 80% of new homes constructed in the United States each year. Membership signals a commitment to the highest professional standards in the industry — from building codes to education to best practices.

The building and construction industry has long been male-dominated territory. Women represent only about 11% of the housing industry workforce and just 4% of the trade base — which makes every woman who builds, leads, and succeeds in this space a trailblazer by default.
As a She Built Ambassador, Nikki, is part of a national movement to empower girls and communities to see themselves as builders — showing the next generation what's possible. The She Built Foundation was created to inspire the next generation of girls in construction, and ambassadors carry that mission into their local communities every day.
Build Her Retreat is an executive retreat designed to inspire and support women business owners in the construction sector — a tight-knit community of female builders, designers, and entrepreneurs who show up for each other in an industry that wasn't originally built for them.
These aren't just affiliations. They're a reflection of who we are and what we believe: that building great homes and building a more inclusive industry go hand in hand.
