Recently, we met a family who hoped to preserve a beloved childhood home through a remodel. After exploring every option, we realized the home was no longer safe to renovate. Together, we made the difficult decision to tear it down and build new.

From the beginning, we knew we wanted to carry part of their story forward. Before demolition, the homeowners carefully removed the flooring from their daughter’s bedroom—a space filled with treasured memories. Today, that reclaimed flooring has been beautifully incorporated into the cubby area of their new home, creating a meaningful reminder of the people and moments that shaped their family.

Even better, we installed it so it can be removed and taken with them wherever life leads next.

Take a walk around your deck, porch, and railings. Look for loose boards, popped nails, or areas that may need staining or sealing. Summer gatherings are much more enjoyable when your outdoor spaces are safe and ready for guests.
